This week together is both a challenge and an offering to you – let your art take you away.

Art Trance Dance Chance is a mixed media workshop combining a free approach to materials and forms with poetry and writing processes. Attention is also paid to developing a personal art philosophy and listening and presentation skills.

We will be working with diverse materials and techniques, include everything from drawing with sticks to conceiving a conceptual art project, altering a book and creating an alter ego. The goal is to refresh your art sources and to experience yourself in a state of continuous creativity. Techniques include drawing, painting, collage, assemblage and writing.

This workshop is limited to fourteen people. All levels of experience are welcome, from the novice to the seasoned artist. The program also includes a writing session with a well-known New Mexican poet (to be announced).

Price: $1330.75 includes tuition, all programs, some materials, double room and board and tax.
